Planning guide
Can you have a game truck party in the Las Vegas summer heat?
Short answer
Yes. The game trailer is insulated and air conditioned, so a 110-degree July afternoon feels the same inside as a 40-degree January evening.
What to plan for is everything outside the trailer: guests waiting their turn, the outdoor stations under the awning, and the food. Genuinely dangerous weather — lightning, very high winds, flooding — is the Game Coach’s call, and if it cancels a party before it starts you get a free reschedule or a refund.
Key takeaways
- Inside the trailer is air conditioned in summer and heated in winter.
- The AC runs off the onboard generator, not your house.
- Plan shade and cold water for guests outside, and keep food outside — there is none inside the trailer.
- Monsoon season in Southern Nevada runs June 15 to September 30; storms are the Game Coach’s call.
- If weather cancels the party before it starts, you get a free reschedule or a refund.
Inside the trailer
The trailer is insulated and climate controlled, with air conditioning through the summer and heat through the winter. It was built for Las Vegas, where the airport hit an all-time record of 120°F on July 7, 2024 — and the inside of the trailer does not care what the forecast says.
About twenty guests sit inside on cushioned stadium seating. Everything — screens, consoles, AC — runs off an ultra-quiet onboard generator, so a summer party does not add a single amp to your house.
Plan for the guests outside
Up to eight more players use the outdoor stations under the trailer’s awning, and at a big party there are always guests waiting for a turn or just watching. The awning gives shade, but it is still Las Vegas air. On a hot day:
- Set up a shaded spot with seating near the trailer for whoever is waiting.
- Put out plenty of cold water. Food and drinks stay outside — nothing is allowed inside the trailer — so make that area comfortable too.
- Have guests eat before the trailer opens. We suggest asking them to arrive 30 minutes to an hour before your start time.
- If your schedule is flexible, a morning or early-evening slot is kinder to the people outside. The trailer itself is the same at any hour.
Monsoon storms, wind and rain
Southern Nevada’s monsoon season officially runs from June 15 to September 30, and it can bring sudden thunderstorms, high winds and flash flooding.
Ordinary rain is not a problem — the trailer was built for all conditions. Extreme weather is different: a major storm, lightning, very high winds, flooding or extremely heavy rain. In those conditions we reserve the right to reschedule to keep guests, staff and equipment safe, and the play-or-no-play decision belongs to the Game Coach.
If you can see a severe weather event coming, contact us early and we will start rescheduling then.
If the weather cancels the party
If weather forces a cancellation before the party starts, you get a free reschedule or a refund. If we have to stop or cancel because of extreme weather, you get a refund. The wording is in the weather policy.
And in winter
The same climate control runs in reverse. The trailer is heated, so a January party on a 40-degree evening is as comfortable inside as one in July.
Questions
-
Not inside the trailer — it is insulated and air conditioned, so July and January feel the same in there. Plan shade and cold water for guests outside.
-
No. Everything in the trailer, air conditioning included, runs off our own onboard generator. Nothing plugs into your house.
-
Not for ordinary rain. The Game Coach can reschedule for extreme weather — a major storm, lightning, very high winds, flooding or extremely heavy rain — to keep everyone safe.
-
If weather forces a cancellation before the party starts, you get a free reschedule or a refund.
-
For the trailer, any time. For the guests outside, a morning or early-evening slot is more comfortable in the hottest months.
