Planning guide

How much space does a game truck need to park?

Short answer

A Vegas Gamerz game truck needs about 55 feet of flat, hardened surface — the truck and 32-foot trailer together — usually on the street at the end of your driveway.

We may need to block the driveway while we are there. Very steep streets are the one thing that genuinely stops us, and if yours will not work, a nearby park, church or parking lot does the job instead.

Key takeaways

  • Plan for about 55 feet of level pavement — roughly three and a half car lengths.
  • The usual spot is the street at the end of your driveway, and we may need to block the driveway.
  • Steep streets and driveways are the one thing that stops us.
  • Nothing plugs into your house: the trailer runs on its own generator.
  • The Game Coach makes the final call on parking, and will not take a risk with your property or anyone’s safety.

What 55 feet means in practice

The truck and the 32-foot trailer travel as one unit, and together they need about 55 feet. That is roughly three and a half parked cars, so look at the curb in front of your house with that in mind.

The surface has to be hardened — asphalt or concrete. We will not park on a lawn, dirt or anything that could give under a loaded trailer, and the Game Coach will not unhitch the truck from the trailer at an event without approval agreed in advance.

Where we usually park

In most neighborhoods the trailer goes on the street at the end of your driveway, which keeps the door and the outdoor stations close to the party. We may need to block the driveway while we are there, so move any car you will need before we arrive.

If you have a preferred spot, tell us when you book. We try to accommodate it, but if you ask us to park somewhere specific, you carry the risk of that choice — the damage policy spells it out.

Some long, flat driveways do work. Most are not 55 feet of level surface, which is why the street is the default.

What stops us

  • Very steep streets or driveways. This is the most common problem, and the one we will not work around.
  • Tight turns we cannot get out of. Some older cul-de-sacs are short on room. Give us your cross streets when you book and we will say before you pay.
  • Anything that could endanger people, property or equipment. If the Game Coach is not completely confident the trailer can be maneuvered somewhere without damage or injury, it does not go there.

If your street will not take the rig, we set up at a nearby park, church or parking lot instead. That happens regularly and works fine.

HOAs and public parks

Many Las Vegas valley neighborhoods are master-planned communities with an HOA, and rules on commercial vehicles parked on the street vary from one association to the next. For a two-hour event it is rarely an issue, but check yours if it is strict.

A public park needs a reservation with whoever runs it. In Henderson, for example, the city only allows outside vendors into park areas for people who hold a park reservation; in Summerlin, Charleston Boulevard decides whether you book through the City of Las Vegas or Clark County. The local details are on each service area page.

What you do not need to provide

  • Power. An ultra-quiet onboard generator runs everything — no extension cords, no tripped breakers.
  • Wi-Fi. The trailer carries Starlink, so online games do not touch your internet.
  • Setup help. The Game Coach handles parking, the awning and every station.

It is worth telling the neighbors we are coming, since we are borrowing some curb for a few hours.

Questions

  • Sometimes, if it is long, level and hardened enough for about 55 feet. Most driveways are not, which is why the street at the end of the driveway is the usual spot. Tell us when you book, and the Game Coach makes the final call on the day.

  • We may need to. Move any car you will need during the party before we arrive.

  • Then we set up somewhere nearby instead — a park, a church or a parking lot. Very steep streets are the one thing we will not work around.

  • No. The trailer runs on its own ultra-quiet generator, so there are no extension cords and nothing to arrange.

  • No. We only park on a hardened surface such as asphalt or concrete, so the trailer stays level and nothing gives under it.
