What age is a game truck party for?
Short answer
A Vegas Gamerz game truck party is for ages 7 and up: the equipment and games are geared to that age, and children under 5 are not allowed inside the trailer for safety reasons.
There is no upper age limit. Teen parties, graduation nights and company events use the same trailer, and you control the ratings — ask for E-rated games only and nothing rated T or M gets played.
Key takeaways
- Geared to ages 7 and up. Under 5s do not go inside.
- For elementary school events we serve second grade and above.
- You set the content line: E-rated only on request, before the event starts.
- Sony’s guidance is that the PS VR2 headset is not for children under 12.
- A parent or responsible adult stays on site for the whole event.
The age rules
- Ages 7 and up is who the equipment and games are geared to.
- Under 5 are not permitted inside the trailer, for safety reasons.
- Ages 5 and 6 are not barred, but the games are pitched older. If most of your guests are that age, email us before you book.
- Elementary school events start at second grade.
- No upper limit. Teens and adults play too.
Whatever the ages, a parent or responsible adult must be at the home or event location the whole time. The Game Coach runs the games; the host is still the host.
Matching the games to the age
Every game carries an ESRB rating. E (Everyone) is suitable for all ages, E10+ for ages 10 and up, T (Teen) for 13 and up, and M (Mature) for 17 and up. Mario Kart 8 and Rocket League are rated E; Minecraft is E10+; Fortnite is T.
Our library runs from E to M, but most of what gets played at a party is rated E or T. You decide where the line is:
- E-rated only: tell the Game Coach before the event starts, and nothing rated T or M is loaded.
- No shooting, fighting or violence: same rule — say so before we start.
- It has to be before the party begins, so the coach knows what to leave out.
You can look up any title on the ESRB website or browse our game library.
VR and younger kids
The trailer has a PlayStation VR2 headset and a VR racing cockpit, and the racing rig is usually the longest queue. Sony’s health and safety guidance is that PS VR2 is not for children under 12. If your guests are younger, it is worth deciding before the party how you want that handled, and telling the Game Coach at the start.
Teens and adults
Thirteen to seventeen is the age most party ideas stop working, and this one does not: Starlink onboard means online games like Fortnite, Apex Legends, Roblox and Fall Guys actually run. Teen and graduation parties often book three hours.
Adults play at company events, block parties and family gatherings. Alcohol is allowed at your event, though we can cut a booking short if the situation gets out of hand; drugs are not tolerated at all.
