Planning guide
What games and consoles are on a game truck?
Short answer
Every Vegas Gamerz trailer carries a PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation VR2, plus a VR racing simulator with a full cockpit — and the whole game library comes to every party.
Starlink internet onboard means online games like Fortnite, Apex Legends, Roblox and Fall Guys run properly. You set the content line: ask for E-rated games only and nothing rated T or M is played.
Key takeaways
- Four platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch 2 and PS VR2.
- A VR racing simulator with a wheel, pedals and a full cockpit.
- Starlink onboard, so online games work without your Wi-Fi.
- The whole library comes every time — no shortlist to pick in advance.
- E-rated only on request, before the event starts.
The consoles
- PlayStation 5 — Fortnite, Minecraft, Madden, NBA 2K, Gran Turismo 7 and most of the sports library.
- Xbox Series X — Forza, Halo, Rocket League and the cross-platform favorites.
- Nintendo Switch 2 — Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros., Just Dance and Super Mario Party.
- PlayStation VR2 — Beat Saber, Gran Turismo 7 in VR and more.
- VR racing simulator — a full cockpit with a wheel and pedals. It is usually the thing with the longest queue.
There are eight 4K stations, inside the trailer and outside under the awning, with enough wireless controllers for everybody.
Online games and Starlink
Online games need a real connection, and a game truck parked at a curb does not have one unless it brings it. Ours carries Starlink, so Fortnite, Apex Legends, Roblox and Fall Guys all run properly — teenagers usually test it in the first minute and a half.
What is in the library
The library is large and keeps growing as new releases come out. A sample by type:
| Type | Examples |
|---|---|
| Party and family | Mario Kart 8, Super Mario Party, Just Dance, Among Us, Fall Guys |
| Sports | Madden NFL, NBA 2K, EA Sports FC, Rocket League, MLB The Show |
| Racing | Gran Turismo 7, Forza Horizon, Hot Wheels Unleashed, Dirt 5 |
| Building and adventure | Minecraft, Roblox, LEGO Star Wars, Marvel’s Spider-Man |
| Fighting | Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mortal Kombat 1, Street Fighter |
| Shooters (T and M) | Fortnite, Apex Legends, Call of Duty, Halo |
The full list, filterable by console and type, is on the game library page. It is a sample rather than a contract — titles change as new releases go in.
Controlling what gets played
The library spans E to M ratings, and most of what gets played is rated E or T. Tell the Game Coach before the event starts if you want E-rated only, or nothing with shooting, fighting or violence, and that is what gets loaded. More on matching games to ages is in what age a game truck suits.
Sony’s guidance is that the PS VR2 headset is not for children under 12 — worth deciding on before the youngest guests ask for it.
